Dear Friend of Peninsula Bridge,

Peninsula Bridge, the leading college access and completion nonprofit on the Peninsula, empowers motivated first-generation scholars from low-income backgrounds to achieve college and career success through individualized support and transformational educational opportunities. Scholars join our 13-year program as rising 4th graders and participate in rigorous academics, high school readiness, college access, and college and career success programming through college and placement into career. Peninsula Bridge helps break the cycle of poverty and greatly increases each scholar’s chance for success in school, life and career – empowering the next generation of employees, entrepreneurs and leaders from diverse and under-represented backgrounds.

Our exceptional scholars are changing the narrative for first -generation scholars from underrepresented communities:

  • Year after year, our scholars achieve a 100% high school graduation and college acceptance rate

  • 100% of our Class of 2025 high school graduates are college-bound this fall, enrolled at best-fit colleges and universities including Williams, UCSB, Lehigh, University of Santa Clara and Olin College of Engineering

  • Our 24 Class of 2025 college graduates have earned their degrees from top universities including Brown, UC Berkeley, USC, Swarthmore and Tufts, ready to launch their careers at organizations such as J.P. Morgan, The New York Times, Hatch, and Sofinnova;

  • 95% of our high school scholars are working in summer internships or volunteer engagements, or are enrolled in summer learning programs, gaining essential professional skills and academic experiences to prepare them for college and career success; and

  • Program wide, our scholars report feeling a strong sense of belonging,  pride in their identity as first generation college-bound scholars, and a clear vision for their future.

On Thursday, October 30th, we’ll come together to celebrate our scholars’ successes, honor our community and raise critical funds – more than 25% of our operating budget –  at our Building Bridges 2025 event at the Grand Bay Hotel in Redwood Shores. And we need your help. Your sponsorship of our event will allow our scholars to continue to defy the odds and thrive on their paths to and through college and into career.
