Dear Friend of Peninsula Bridge,
At Peninsula Bridge, we are changing the narrative for first-generation scholars from low-income backgrounds:
Year after year, our scholars achieve a 100% high school graduation and college acceptance rate;
100% of our Class of 2025 high school graduates are college-bound this fall, enrolled at best-fit colleges and universities including Williams, UCSB, Lehigh, University of Santa Clara and Olin College of Engineering;
Our 24 Class of 2025 college graduates have earned their degrees from top universities including Brown, UC Berkeley, USC, Swarthmore and Tufts, ready to launch their careers at organizations such as J.P. Morgan, The New York Times, Hatch, and Sofinnova;
95% of our high school scholars are working in summer internships or volunteer engagements, or are enrolled in summer learning programs, gaining essential professional skills and academic experiences to prepare them for college and career success; and
Program wide, our scholars report feeling a strong sense of belonging, pride in their identity as first generation college-bound scholars, and a clear vision for their future.
Together, we are closing critical gaps in academic achievement, college access, and career readiness and ensuring that talented, motivated first-generation students don’t fall through the cracks. With your help, we can ensure that our scholars receive the intensive support they need—right now more than ever—to succeed in elementary and middle school, thrive in rigorous high school courses, gain admission to four-year colleges, and graduate prepared to launch meaningful, impactful careers.
On Thursday, October 30, we’ll come together to celebrate our scholars’ successes, honor our community and raise critical funds – more than 25% of our operating budget – at our Building Bridges 2025 event. And we need your help. Early support at one of our Bridge Builder giving levels will create important community momentum and inspire others to give and attend. Will you join us at one of these levels?
Please join us today as a Bridge Builder by completing this form or responding with your desired level of support, and plan to bring friends to join you at a table (up to 10 guests) at this free event.* The event will be held on October 30, 2025, from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Grand Bay Hotel in Redwood Shores.
Thank you for joining us in supporting educational opportunities that empower the next generation of leaders on the Peninsula!
Warmly,
Randi Shafton, CEO
Peninsula Bridge
*There is no cost to attend this event, nor is there any tangible benefit conferred for a Bridge Builder gift at any level.
