About Us

Terrell, Bridge Alum

There is not a day that goes by that I do not thank the Lord for what I have, where I am in life, and most importantly, who I am.  I was raised in East Palo Alto (the murder capital of the world in 1992). Odds would say that I would be in prison like my brother, selling drugs, or deceased like my cousin.  Well, I have never been in prison, never sold drugs, I am obviously not dead.  On the contrary, my life has taken quite a different direction during the last 15 years.  Why you may ask?   It is because of Les DeWitt, the Peninsula Bridge program and Woodside Priory.

All of the wonderful opportunities that I have been given started with Les DeWitt and the Peninsula Bridge program.  Les DeWitt and the Bridge program gave me opportunity, and Woodside Priory helped me to grow, replacing ignorance with intelligence, love and understanding.  I thank the Lord every single day that Les DeWitt saw potential in me.  Because of his forward thinking, he took a chance on me.  Les DeWitt and the Bridge Program not only gave me an education, they gave me life, and an opportunity to see a future for myself.

Terrell graduated from Woodside Priory (the first African American to do so) and the University of the Pacific.   He is currently employed by US Bank as a Business Banking Officer/Vice President.  He is also a homeowner, married, and the proud parent of 2 boys.
